1The popularised empath/narcissist dicotomy is actually often more of an oscillation back and forth between the two roles in a relationship between two people with a lack of propoer boundaries. The "narcissist" can at times be caring, considerate and regretful and the "empath" can be fed up with caring and withdraw and disengage. So labelling is not much use, it is more helpful to see it as two extreme roles taken on in an entangled family system.

1Well, NPD is a diagnosis in DSM, but not yet in ICD, so it is a bit controversial. In popular terms you can find massive amounts of advice on "narcissists" on YT, and also "empath", so I assumed you meant this discussion. We all have narcissistic traits to sone extent, and it is actually healthy in the right amount. Consider children for example who are in the process of understanding themselves. Not having expertise, a person with BPD can for sure express both strong empathy and narcissistic traits when feeling swing back and forth. What I mwan is that when a relationship ends, its sometimes one hear labelling of "narcissism" from one party, but I think that is counterproductive. It is rarely one parties fault, but rather an unhealthy relationship dynamics. Excessive helping is just as harmfull as execissive demands for help. Boundaries! ♡

7Uhh Nice, jetzt wird es spannend, da ich weder das eine noch das andere bin können beide verdammt narzistisch sein so wie jeder Mensch Anteile, in sich trägt krank wird es erst wenn man extrem wird. Ich frage mich eher wieso die beiden sich immer magisch anziehen. 🤔Und ich mir von beiden dann anhören soll wie böse der die Ex war und ich eigentlich nur kurz zum Kaffee vorbei kommen wollte, meine Spezies ist , verdammt selten nennt sich reflektiert das schlage ich den Beiden, extremen auch oft vor. 🥱 Ändern kann man beide nicht unendlicher Rosenkrieg wer leidet, die Kids.
