What is your stress/depression coping mechanism that requires you to spend money and what do you do to be reasonable about that spending?
I am very stressed and kind of in a depression (my depression is a little bit different, I wear my emotions on my sleeves). In similar situations to the one I'm in I tend to reverse to my shopaholic tendencies. My only saving grace is that when buying something I am weighting down how many times I'm going to use the item I want to buy, do I really need that item and is the price justified in my mind. Sometimes it's not justified, but there are quite a few items of makeup, skincare and household related stuff that I do make a good use of. For example stain removal pen and NYX lip glosses/lipsticks/eyeliners/ect.

I'm obsessed with skincare products and can do overboard sometimes. I try other non-monitary related coping strategies such as playing sims, reading motivational books, talking to friends, taking a walk, playing with my cats, etc. (hope you will find more healthy coping strategies)
