Argument it is based on the archetype idea of Carl Gustav Jung. They just took it and started to add astrology like descriptions to it and voila you have the myer briggs test. The way how the brain works is as long as we can find common ground/resemblance within a certain amount of time and percentage of stuff. Then our brain is gonna identify ourselves with it. Look at gender ideology boom "you dont get brought up like a male, so you dont feel like a male, ergo you are non binary"

no. while astrology can sometimes be accurate, this psychological test was developed basing on science.

Originally it was definitely based on some pseudo-science. But it has since been falsified. Slightly better is the big 5 trait index (Openness, Consciousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neurosis: OCEAN) - even the big 5 index is going through some science hurdles, but MB is no longer standing. Really it's just a fun way to bucket yourself in some form of confirmation bias. It's still fun like astrology haha

I think it's pretty good tho, of course it's not going to cover 100% aspect of you, but I personally think it does test something :)
