Why do attractive people get better treatment?

Question

Overall, in life, attractive people get an insane boost to their abilities in day to day life entirely based on how good they look, and using it to your advantage can really get you ahead, however, why is this so true? I've never understood the psychological process that takes place that would put an attractive person over an unattractive person. What do you think?

Someone attractive reflects a good health. Someone who has a good health looks after this one: it has the money for it.

Some of it is because we like beautiful things and want to have them around us. Why do people choose to buy a house with a nice view? Why do we decorate our homes the way we do? Why do we want an attractive partner? Beauty - and the desire to bask in it.
