Pride was in charge for agood while, if I’m honest. What humility I did display was false. It’s notthat I think pride is inherently bad or evil, I just know I wielded it terribly. The battle continues but learning that I was even in a battle was the turning point. Lol

I lovethis answer. I suspect this is probably true to some degree of all of us ... Though some never get to the turning point ...
I feel also like it's a bit of a winding road. There's that big bend when I realized, "Oh, I'm going to have to work hard for this or I'm going to drive into a ditch [become a person] I don't want to." But there are lots of smaller ones too about specific behaviors or instances, like, "Oh, she's right, I really didn't have a nicetone there. I could have done more to make that conversation better" etc etc
I suspect the journey won't ever be over, but I sure hope it gets easier with time!
Yeah most of the time I'm humble. I mean, I do tend to talk about myself but never in a prideful manner. Sometimes I feartaking pride in some of the things I do or some of my attributes because of my religiousbackground and I was taught that it is a sin to be proud. Sometimes I confuse humility with humiliating and view myself as worthless.

Humility is for peoplewho don't have any othervirtues 😉
On a more seriousnote, pride is important, it is a buildingblock of one's self-worth when stemming from one's achievements and success, overcoming adversity in life and growing as a person.
And it can be terribly destructive when only fueled by ego, the desire to be recognized as something you have not achieved yet.
So am I humble? No, not really. Do I let pride run the show? No, not at all!

I try to live a humble life and show kindness and respect towards everybody else. I try to mind my own business while others do the same. If someone tries to be toxic with me, I won't be that humble 😅

Humility is for people who don't have any other virtues 😉 On a more serious note, pride is important, it is a building block of one's self-worth when stemming from one's achievements and success, overcoming adversity in life and growing as a person. And it can be terribly destructive when only fueled by ego, the desire to be recognized as something you have not achieved yet. So am I humble? No, not really. Do I let pride run the show? No, not at all!
