People with avoidant attachment style pull away when things get real. They want connection, but their nervous system can't handle it and they shut down.

Example I am not a fan of ghosting & I have been on the receiving end. People reacts differently to issues. Definitely a red flag when someone has an avoidance personality trait. Many times I believe they need to work on their communication skills or how to express themselves & deeper work on themselves. Perhaps some will never learn & it is not for me to judge. I would save my energy & move on. It can be hard when you are getting closer to someone. Vulnerability is not for everyone.

There’s a group of people (I forgot their name now) but it has a name … They even confess themselves about their attachment style that they can only talk superficial with strangers and never forming bonds - they avoid closeness because they feel uncomfortable and they love it So if they see you second time they ignore your existence But in other cases - people want to have fun now as new life philosophy and nothing serious Even when you begin to have meaningful conversation with them they immediately feel heavy to think feel averted by its only fact of it and try to find a new better interlocutor or try to keep conversation light to continue with simple response in style of - what is a meaning of life? - to eat and sleep ahaha And that’s it

It depends on the person. Perhaps it's past experiences for some, and fear of closeness for others, which also could have other reasons! Or, maybe they were never as close to you as you thought, so it wasn't getting real, that's why "them pulling away" is not even actually happening.
