Home cooks/chefs, do you clean and put everything away before sitting down to eat, or leave some things in the sink to clean afterward?

I clean as I cook but if there is anything left over at the end I usually let it soak in the sink while I eat my hot food. Lol but I have family who disagrees with me on this so I am curious to see if I am in the minority here lol
