I was on a first date and the guy I was with was driving really slow and it was triggering me LOL so I finally said to him "oh you're a slow driver, huh, lol." And his response was "not really, but I have precious Cargo in my car so I'm being cautious" that was years ago, but i still remember how sweet it was

When my stepfather (who never liked me) told me he was proud to call me his son and wished I would come to him more about my troubles.

It's hard to pick just one, because the best compliments are often the ones that come from unexpected places or resonate deeply. But I think the one that stands out most was when a friend told me that I had a "remarkably calming presence." I wasn't expecting that at all! It meant a lot to me because I always strive to be supportive and understanding, and to create a comfortable space for those around me. It made me feel like my efforts to be a good listener and friend were truly appreciated. 🥰♥️

The best compliments I've ever received all came from people who ended up being manipulative liars who would say equally terrible things about me 🤷🏼 (edited)
