Yes, in most circumstances. Some things are unforgivable, however, and I wouldn't stay in contact with a person if they did something I feel is morally wrong. I will wish them well but very far away from me.

I believe in second chances for others, however it will take time for that chance to be given. I dont believe in second chances for myself. If I ever hurt my partner enough that it would end our relationship I think I'd feel too guilty. (edited)

I believe that, if a person has truly realized thier mistake or the root of their actions and has used that information to genuinely grow as a person and change for their own personal betterment, then, in most cases, yes.

Yes, it is possible. For that, one needs a lot of perspective, to be kind towards oneself or others but without being complacent. One must be clear-eyed about everyone's strengths and weaknesses and see how we can seize a second chance that will require change and quite a bit of resilience.

Yes. Forgiveness of others helps you, not them. And forgiveness for yourself is necessary to heal. Forgiveness does not mean excusing behavior, does not mean you should allow something. It just means letting go of the inner turmoil we inflict on ourselves over wrongs done to us, by ourselves or others.
