It's so hard to realistically imagine, probably advancements in technology that would seem unthinkable/unimaginable currently. A.I is progressing at an alarming rate, so the possibility of it actually lording over human beings is a real concern depending on how much we allow it off the leash. The Internet, and salacious click bait media is helping to form 1000's of little tribes of belief systems that can't just have a conversation as we are conditioned to have absolute hatred/disregard towards somebody with an opposing opinion and many of us are too stupid to realise that we are being conditioned in this way and continue to reinforce our echo chambers. The throttling of free speech to the point where protesting the government can be seen as treason is worrying. Not to mention that we can't even have discussions on topics using factual information because it might hurt somebodies feelings. But then again, is any of this worse than its ever been? Or are we just aware to more of what happens because of the Internet? Does being aware of more create its own concern due to the psycholocial affect it has on people? All I know is that money and power rules, and where ever that is, is where the rich and powerful will edge the collective psyche towards. If there was money and power to be gained by everyone getting along peacefully and for the betterment of the planet and universe and global peace, we'd all probably be living blissfully.

The human race is radically different... either we are massively killed off and sterilized and then more controllable ans we become the haves and the have nots... the rulers and their slaves... Ai could play a role in that... a civil war here in america could break us down... the harmful chemicals in our food destroy our DNA and kill us rapidly and we still live to be around 80... however i believe in the great awakening and i see humanity in the end banding together and providing food safety and security to everyone and sharing resources and coexisting despite differences in community settings because our government is clearly failing us...

No AI revolution , No Interstellar Travel. We're stuck here and we must use our communications to make peace and resolve problems. Instead we fall pray to tribalism and differences. We could continue to being a healthier species but as of now....much work ahead. We refuse to assume the responsibility man was given over the earth and instead seek our selfish desires. 100 years? The trajectory is very clear. People will give their souls to convenience . AI will dictate the information we receive. People will accept lies rather than the truth. There will be a self induced world wide famine, we already are seeing glimpses of it now. Just a matter of time that technology eventually crushes it overall. Their will be a world wide assault on families and individual freedom. Broken families is the work mule of totalitarianism. The West is devolving into this slowly. When modesty and professionalism is demonized. Mental instability being the standard so that you can be sold the next “best/popular” thing. The over infatuation of temporary satisfaction over long term sensibility. The future is not bright especially if we are creating semi-sentient machines. Take from an engineer, the machine is just as flawed as it’s creator, except it’s terrifyingly efficient. Self loathing of our existence, planet worship while the starving die in the streets. Conjuring demons that don’t exist because of a purposeless existence. It’s only as grim as the cloudy existence we have allowed our minds to exist in. (edited)
