The freedom of my youth, when I had that extraordinary drive towards understanding the cosmos. I remember when I lived alone with my mom on a small farm with almost no light pollution, when I was about 9 or 10. I got to borrow a telescope over the weekend from my elementary school. Best weekend ever, I don't think I've ever been that glued to a material object for so many hours upon end.
