I consider that it is love; we tend to associate courage with strength, combat, or resilience in the face of adversity. However, to love requires shedding all armor; in addition to that, choosing to love is to consciously accept fragility, to give a third party the power to hurt us, and yet, to bet on human connection in a world dominated by cynicism, cruelty, and the fear of rejection.
