Not following the logic in the premise here. So if things were prewritten, why is the assumption then that we want it to be written that we basically do nothing? Doing nothing is never going to turn into doing something. Not trying will never lead to trying no matter if a God wrote that you'd reach x or y. And if it's an act of rebellion then really you're still there only person who suffers.

What a poorly researched question.

I believe the question is wrong. If God existed and prewrote everything, your efforts would've been prewritten too. And God would have his own reasons to make you do these efforts. For instance — to have an interesting story. Consider God a writer and yourself a book character. This even excuses bad things in the world — we are not even real to God. Or a Goddess

I'm unsure about everything being pre-written by God, haven't read it yet. However, from what I do know God knows everything that will happen. Though we don't know everything that will happen and we are created with freedom of choice. So we make choices on how our lives will go daily based on the consequences of our actions. So I think the trying hard is important because it's easy to fall into sin and just stay in it. So we have to choose to follow Jesus and put in the work to deny our flesh. Doing the right thing isn't always easy when it's inconvenient to us.

You do it out of obedience, reverence and love for God/Christ. Sure, God knows the end from the beginning (that is why He is Omniscient), but He also gave us free-will to love and obey Him of our own accord. To show how much we truly want to love and be with Him. He doesn't want robots that just mindlessly obey and go along a set path. (edited)

The question sounds difficult, but really the answer is easy (and doesn't even need any gods). The fact is, living things like the people we care about experience suffering, and we hate that our loved ones suffer. The purpose of working hard or trying is to try to make it so we ourselves, our loved ones, and all other living things as well, can suffer less in the future. And that task alone will keep us PLENTY busy before there's a need to find some other purpose. (edited)

I ain't religious. But my understanding is that God does know our outcomes and choices. That doesn't mean we don't have free choice though. Take for example, if we touch fire it will burn us. As adults we know what will happen touching fire. If we tell a young child not to touch fire, we will know the outcome of their choice. Doesn't mean the child doesn't have free will to touch the fire, even though we are aware of the outcome. It's the same for day of judgement, let our life play out that we can't argue that we was wasn't given free will of our choices. (edited)

Predestination is the idea of what you're talking about, I personally don't think there is a god that exists or if there is it's more of a creator that doesn't give an ounce of care into what you're doing with your life, it's entirely up to you to be who you want to be and do what you want to do. No one is saving anyone so our choices define us infinitum.
