easy i don’t move not because i’m scared but because some part of me knows he’s not just a panther not really more like a visitor from something older than memory stepping through the heat haze and open windows like a thought i forgot i was having and he just watches calm steady like he’s been searching and now he’s found what he didn’t even know he missed and maybe he’s not here to frighten but to remind me that not all connections arrive through words or notifications some arrive when you’re half asleep and the world is too quiet for pretending maybe he’s not a warning but a whisper from the universe saying love doesn’t always look the way you expect sometimes it walks on silent paws and shows up when your heart is wide open without meaning to be and if you’re still long enough if you believe just a little you realize this isn’t about fear it’s about recognition because deep down you know some bonds are written beyond language and timing and maybe just maybe you were never alone just waiting for the moment when even the wild things pause to say i see you
