It's just like any relationship. It's about the people involved and what they want and how they want to go about it. A relationship is just that.. if you want to make it work, you will.

Successful relationships involve communication and understanding, goals alignment, dealing with feelings, honesty and respect. So a ldr has the same shot of success as a non-ldr, people involved also need to do the work and distance makes it harder but not impossible.

It is possible If they understand each other well, but the end of any long relationship will mostly not ends happy.Because of their wrong choice and lack of understanding of each other (edited)

Depends on the people involved and what their priorities are. The distances between people can be feet or meters and still troublesome.

Well... you never know until you try and give it a chance! It's the matter of effort... Love doesn't show or measured by the distance! It's how you are willing to work it out and committed to each other! It's not easy but it is possible if you want to. It involves trust, consistant communication, compromise, respect, feelings alignment, willing to sacrifice, patience, and better understanding! Cheers to everyone of you!😉🌻🌈✨️💖😍🥰💕 (edited)

Relationships aren't meant to be long distance, it wouldn't surprise me if there were some studies indicating that the majority are bound to fail (if they remain long distance for a long time). Maybe some here and there succeed and get a happy ending, but those are likely to be exceptions, not the norms. Anyways, tried 2 long distance relationships, no happy ending 🤷🏻‍♂️. Back to as close to the old fashion type of dating as possible in this modern age. Long distance impacts the quality of relationship someone can provide (edited)

Mine ended happily. By quitting his mind games and lack of effort and ending it.

There are too many factors to provide a simple answer. However, if both people are willing to make it work then I don’t see why it can’t. Though, I imagine it being difficult. Especially at really long distances.

Mine didn't & Ithought we were going to get married. My daughter & her husband were the best of friends, got married, & now they're in counseling. I suppose ANY relationship can have a happy ending. I however will not do it again.

I married a guy I met online when I was in California and he was in Australia. Lasted ten years, have a son, still friends. My best friend - who I met here - is 5300 miles away, we met uo half way in July, I'll see him again this spring. It takes a lot of commitment and trust. 🤷‍♀️

It depends if both people work on it. Its 50/50 in a relationship just like if they are in they in the same state or city as you. Communication is key always

I think it works as long as there is some level of communication, and the end goal of eventually closing that distance.

I think long distance relationships can work for a while, but if they don't get closer at some point it just fizzles out.

YES ...My friend who told me about this app a year ago ended up marrying her LDR partner who she met here. They have always been so madly in love with each other ...its so wholesome. Relationships take time to grow and evolve into something strong and beautiful. It takes both people to work. So my answer is yes... only if both put in the work and effort to be serious and committed.

I dated a girl for two months before leaving to study abroad in Australia for the next 6. Ended up being with her for a total of 5 years before things ended. Healthiest relationship I’d been in to date. Long distance wasn’t the issue as much as other things. It all comes down to how much faith you put into one another and your ability to communicate and work through problems together.

Yes. Not always but then again, so do relationships that are all in person. Whether it's long distance or short distance doesn't matter, it's the communication and bond that keeps the relationship going. If there's no communication or no bonding(in the case of LDR, video call dates for example), then the relationship is going to fail regardless of distance.

No, based on my experience. I have been in 2x LDRs and both guys were not loyal. It doesn't matter how much loyalty 1 person has if the other person in the relationship can't be. 1 of them I wasn't his type to begin with and mainly his family liked me more than he did so I should have just not bothered going out with him (At the time, I was younger and not as smart so I just tried anyway), & the other b/f I really dodged a bullet with as he ended up cheating on his actual wife 20 years later after him and I broke up (Once a cheater, maybe always a cheater). I'm sure LDR could work for some people, but it takes a lot of honest and open communication, faithfulness, commitment, and it probably can't be LDR for more than 6 months to a year to actually be able to build a proper future together in person

As long as you’re able to maintain that communication with that person. Communication is the key to making every relationship work regardless of how far the person is. Hope whoever reads this succeeds in their long distance relationship and don’t give up because you might find the love of your life even if that person is on the other side of the world❤️ (edited)

I was in a long distance relationship for 3 years. It was the healthiest, most loving, nurturing and healing relationship I've ever had. Life took us in different directions, so it was a bittersweet ending yet still beautiful. We helped each other heal and become the best version of ourselves, in a way, that is a happy ending ❤️

Depends on the person. As long as both of them are willing to fight for the relationship, everything will end happily. But nowadays, many men don't want to do it. And that makes a lot of long distances not end well #Sorry
