Do you think wisdom comes with age, or with experience?

Niether. It comes from the willingness to learn. A fool can experience the same thing again and again and have the same result and that same fool can age to hundred and not get any wiser. (edited)

Experience, there are young people who may know more than an older adult and vice versa.

1mo

Experience. Age is automatic. Wisdom requires actually paying attention. Experience gives you the lessons, reflection turns them into wisdom, and age just keeps the calendar moving. You can be old and still have the wisdom of a damp paper towel. 🙃 So I’d say wisdom comes from experiencing life, making mistakes, reflecting on them, and ideally being smart enough not to keep repeating the same ones with better posture hopefully.🤞 (🦐/🥐) 🤣

If you want to evolve, you can live whatever you want if you don't know and are willing to learn, listen, make mistakes, acknowledge, try again... It’s all for nothing. Wisdom does not require age or experience, it DEMANDS strength and courage. I believe that’s why most of us don’t even come close to seeming wise.

I think wisdom comes more from experience than age. Age gives us time, but sum ppl mite hv got more experience going through more challenges or mistakes they mite hv done in ther life journey.

1mo

it can be both and neither

1mo

With both, we learn from experience but we need the maturity of age to turn it into wisdom.

1mo

the experience!!

1mo

Wisdom often comes from reflection . The ability to learn from both success and failure.

1mo

hmm I think these two things are not exclusive, but thinking about it, if an older person is wise, doesn't that mean they had a lot of time to live many things and learn from them? 🤔

1mo

Age gives you the wrinkles, but experience gives you the wisdom. It’s not about how many years you’ve lived, but how deeply you’ve reflected on the lessons life has handed you

Experience forces growth, but only those open to learning from it actually gain wisdom.

1mo

With experience :)

1mo

Both

1mo

Wisdom comes mostly with experience. Age can provide time to reflect, but it is the choices we make, the mistakes we make, and what we learn from them that truly builds wisdom.

1mo

experience

1mo

With experience, of course

Suffering

Well, let's say...

1mo

She comes from a bit of both because experience comes with time.

1mo

Both

1mo

With age

1mo

Experience comes from our mistakes.

1mo

Mm, age brings time, experiences bring understanding 🦦

1mo

I would say both

1mo

Sometimes with none of the two options

1mo

Experience

1mo

Both without a doubt

1mo

experience and time

1mo

It comes with the desire of wanting to become a better person. Because wisdom will make you someone you will love to be.

1mo

I think age brings time, but it's experience that transforms that time into wisdom. Because aging is inevitable; learning from what you live is the choice.🫠

1mo

Experience comes with age, little by little) and wisdom comes with experience.

1mo

The two

1mo

It doesn't matter your age, unless you experience it you won't know what it is.

1mo

It comes with experiences . Someone having age of 35 still behaving childish i found such kind of people too

1mo

Experience 100%. I have met many wise and unwise individuals and age was never a factor. Experience is our mightiest teacher.

1mo

Without a doubt, experience; I know older people who don't have a shred of coherence or judgment, and younger people who, because of their experiences, are more mature and wise ✨️
