Compliments and Women
Here's the thing. At one time women had no issues accepting compliments from men. Then things changed. The compliments became hollow, a way for men to lure women. Women became cautious, unbelieving, unable to trust if the words said were true or rang hollow. When another woman complimented us, we accepted the words at face value. They made us feel good. They lifted us up and gave us confidence, and we started to spurn compliments from men. Over the past year I have come to understand that the majority of the men who have given me compliments are sincere with their praise. To the women out there, I have this small suggestion. When a man compliments you, he sees you in a way you do not. He is telling you what he sees. Stunning, gorgeous, beautiful, these are the ways he sees you. Allow these words to bolster your confidence just as if a peer were complimenting you. You are all gorgeous!

That's great perspective. I really appreciate it when I get compliments. I may not think of myself as very attractive but hearing it is still warming. When you've seen yourself for years and in every state, I think it's only natural to have your reservations. Maybe you have quirks that you don't like, but there are people who find those qualities attractive
