Dating nowadays feels like constantly having to guard your emotions. You can’t show too much interest, be too available, or love too openly. Everything has to be measured so you don’t seem overwhelming or scare the other person away. It’s like we’re all carefully dancing around love instead of actually experiencing it.

I get it, it's a hard thing to do, especially if you have any additional personal issues you battle with that already makes feeling like being accepted is difficult. We are social creatures, we want to be apart of something we want to be accepted, so we bend to fit in, but then we are never happy because of it. That's only amplified in interpersonal relationships.
