Just woke up, but yesterday was pretty intense. I usually have two versions of a story when I tell them. The one I give that only outlines the basic things that happened that day, from an everyday context. And the honest one that gives full context, but makes me look like a crazy person to most people 🫠 But since you're a Christian and you might actually believe what's going on, basically I have a demon problem. Have had one for a few years now. Made some bad mistakes delving into spooky spirituality, trusted a spirit, was betrayed and ended up getting possessed. It's a long story, but God intervened and eventually led me to Himself. Long story short of yesterday is that I spent most of it wrestling with new demons who showed up to mess with me. I played videogames to keep my mind from becoming too stagnant, which is an ideal situation for them to mess with me. And at the end of the day I had some beautiful moments with God realizing a few things. Wrestled with a few things in my heart and mind that needed to be given over to God. (Pride and Ego stuff mainly) And Prayed for things that I Hope will help get me closer to freedom. And when I say freedom. Basically I mean that when I first found God and the demons didn't leave, it seemed like God was asking me to walk in repentance of a few things. And in time eventually I learned that when demons are expelled from a man, but he hasn't repented of the things they used to remain within him. That they return with demons worse than themselves. And the condition of the man is worse than before. I didn't want to believe it at first. But I tried again and again to get them out. Sometimes some would leave, but some seemed so firmly stuck in place. And because I hadn't worked on the issues, the next time I fell into that same temptation they came back with their buddies who were indeed worse. And each time I did get more messed up than I was before I'd tried kicking them out. So eventually after a few attempts I conceded. And since then God helped me overcome, quite Miraculously I might add, Alcoholism and an addiction to cigarettes. Both of which were affecting my mental and emotional state and clarity in bad ways. I think I tried once or twice since then to get the demons out, like the stubborn human I am 🥸 But eventually I decided that unless God leads me to someone who knows about how to deal with these things, that I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. Following His lead as He helps me gradually change. But yeah, that was probably a lot. But here's the Scripture related to that, so you know I'm not just speaking out of nowhere lol: ‭Luke 11:24-26 ESV‬ 24 “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ 25 And when it comes, it finds the house swept and put in order. 26 Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that person is worse than the first.” I've also met several people with similar takes on it. And I was pretty messed up before I found Christ. God helped me when they first Possessed me, but He didn't tell me Who He was or where to find Him. But He said something like "Endure, don't become like them. I will lead you to Myself one day." And it was about four years with those things before God revealed Himself to me. I was also kind of a mess before they showed up, but I was definitely more of one after lol. But yeah, so I'll shush my face now. But yeah, it was a pretty intense day. Just glad God helped me see reason near the end of it.
