Age only matters if you want it to matter, I don't believe there is a universal answer because everyone is different, you might find someone who fits you perfectly but is 10 years older or younger. You might find someone your age who acts out, as long as they make you happy and you can enjoy the same things together you're fine. Enjoy your life as long as the end goal is you being Happy.

8 and half years between my wife and I. It's never really been an issue. As long as you are both ready for a relationship and compatible the. Give it a shot.

1To put words in a simple way… age is just number. But there is a condition. A particular condition which everyone ignores… maturity. That is not calculated i terms of your age or age of your partner. I will be 35 this year. I have been in relationship with woman elder than me when i was in my mid 20s. She was in her late 30s. Our matured attitude was the key for our relationship. We broke up later but that was because of our situations. Now after almost a decade i still respect her. Our part relationship and our moments. So age is not what defines your relationships, it should be how mature you both are to handle each other.

7Age difference matters and is not just a number for me. It’s one thing to have a couple years of age difference but of 10 years? That’s just too much and I feel this way because two people can be at different points in life when there is such a big age difference. A guy under 40 is really young in my eyes and turns me off (edited)

cuando hay tanta diferencia es difícil que no haya dinámicas de poder en la relación, el ritmo de vida no es el mismo, la etapa en la que estáis viviendo cada uno, la diferencia generacional existe aunque pueda no parecerlo, la gestión emocional, los objetivos que os podéis plantear a largo plazo y algún etc. Aún así, lo importante es como lo llevéis vosotros y más importante como lo lleves tú.

1Life stage matters more, last girlfriend was 14 years younger than me 48 v 34. Main issue was children, she wanted her own and soon, but for me requires IVF so it’s a long process. (And my daughter lives with me 100% of the time) she didn’t want to go through the IVF process. But… really it was we were just about at 2 life stages, she was still in building her life and career, I’m in the “settled” stage. If you are both aligned then go for it… we regret opportunities we didn’t take.

Age is an irelevant number at the end of the day. My ex is 19 years younger and I don’t regret one day of the ten years we spent together they are without a doubt the happiest years of my life you know so far not dead yet lol. Don’t let a number take your joy away and yes you get used to the funny looks and start to joke about it. And no your not stealing their youth live life however it rolls out in front of you girl that’s what matters.

7There will never be a perfect match. If you start to examine what you mean by 'fits well', and this list starts getting long, then the age difference will not matter I think. Enjoy. 😉

5Mas que la edad como número creo que importa que ambos estéis en etapas similares. Podéis tener ambos 24 años pero uno estar en la universidad viviendo con sus padres y el otro llevar años independizado con su propia casa y coche. O tener 24 y 34 y estar ambos independizados y trabajando. Obviamente a partir de cierta diferencia entra en consideración el físico. Si uno tiene 30 y el otro 50 la diferencia física va a ser notable y cada día más.

I think we as a species forget that for many thousands of years age differences were more accepted and expected. I look at biology and see male hormones peak in the early 20s women’s allegedly peak in the 30s. And for the reverse we made it about Economy. Not the skills status and the ability to survive. The side effect being young women make old men act and think younger. If we did that i hold that it’s wired in after a couple hundred thousand years.
