I've heard many peoplecomplain about this and I've had it happen to me. But... I have to admit. I've done it too. I've matched someone and then never messaged them. In several cases neither of us ever messaged the other.
Why do you think people match someone but then never talk to them? Does it depend on the match?

In my case, I try to be open minded and say yes to everyone. My thought being "I'm more likely to scare them off than vice versa" (I'm an atheist and likesmokingweed).
But then sometimes people match me and I realize that unless they start with "hey I know it doesn't seem like I would be, but I'm also an atheist that likes drugs and wants to talk about economics, wanna go to arave?" there's nothing I could think of to say.
Like I'm open to this person, and have no reason to say no, but I also don't feel like I have anything to say. And conversations on Boo can get sodisjointed because people log in through the day, it kills conversation momentum. I wishwe could meet in person and be forced to talk for 10 straight minutes where we don't have any distractions.
For me it's usually if I originally vibed with the profile but on second thought I have doubts, like they're too far away or something like that. Or the dreaded mutualwaiting for the other person to message first 😅😂 if that happens I'll eventually go through and seewhether I message or unmatch

A lot of the time people don't put much in their bio. I tend to not match with them because there's so little to start a conversation with. So when I do initiate I try to be really engaging. More often than not I'll get a thoughtless response and that's when I'll unmatch. Just a "haha yeah" to something I've spent 10 minutes formulating is annoying.

Bro sometimes I match with someone and don't message them until a month later. I'm dumb and I just forgot... 🥺 Or I'll read their bio and they are an absolutely wild person that I have no interest in spending my time talking to.
My time is valuable and I can't talk to everybody

What's the point of matching if women ghots men and vice versa why are you on the app if you match but bearly talk or ghost each other true ppl should heave more info in there profile about them selvs secondley I'm shy to but I can still talk to people here and leave at least a small but OK bio on my profile I'm just not gonna be the one braking the ice and start the conversation cos of beeng lonley for most of my life I heave some good buddy's at work i convers with cos I knew them for a long time and I can be myself and not be shy or afraid to talk

I matched with a couple, I didtext, no response or interest so idgaf then. Finally, i did get to talk to one regularly until that person disappeared 😂 (ghosting or what idk).
So, I don't think matching whatnot is anything of a deal just random thing people do, not so seriously.

A lot of times I'm guilty of this I'll just like 20 people and if three like me I will select from those three since I only like the focus on one person at a time

I am not on here as much lately. When I am here, if I am not feeling the profile, I unmatch, answer some posts and leave.
For me it's a matter of experience. Every actual relationship I've ever been in was initiated by the woman. If being the one to start the conversation hasn't worked in thirty years, why would I think it was going to start workingnow?
I mean sure, I'll give it a go every now and then if I'm in a really good mood and the person's profile gives me a good idea for a conversation starter, particularly if the person is only looking for friends.
Most of the time, though? For the sake of my own mentalhealth, my lips are sealed until the other person says something. If a girl means business, she'll message me first. Simple as that.

It depends, but usually it's because their profile doesn't provide me much to work with. I've matched with a lot of people and don't always have time or energy to drive the convo from a dead stop. I think maybe I'll DM them later but by then I've startednew conversations.

sometimes they'd reply but I'm already talking to someone.. so I don't reply back for the mean time.

Why don't you message the person you matched with?
I've heard many people complain about this and I've had it happen to me. But... I have to admit. I've done it too. I've matched someone and then never messaged them. In several cases neither of us ever messaged the other. Why do you think people match someone but then never talk to them? Does it depend on the match?
