Contrary to popular belief, age is not the main determining factor for relationship readiness. It surely plays some role but there are two other factors that are far more important than age. Emotional maturity: While this may improve with age there are some people that get to the age of 30 and still behave more like a 12 year old. Emotionally maturity relates to ones emotional intelligence. Do you understand feelings? Can you express respect feelings? Are you responsible with your feelings? Do you understand that actions have consequences? No one wants a partner that is lacking the necessary emotional maturity to form a meaningful, adult relationship where we express our emotions without breaking someone down. Throwing a tantrum over the fact that your partner doesn't want to go out for drinks because they prefer staying home is not mature, you allowed to disagree and be upset but both parties involved should understand that sometimes compromise is necessary on both parts. Financial responsibility: Over spending/ reckless spending is not sexy. Your partner doesn't want to worry that they will get into a crazy amount of debt because you are irresponsible and would rather use the grocery money to buy the newest video games then make sure you have enough to eat for the month. Budgets should be somewhat flexible but be responsible and understand that needs come before wants here. Save up for that game instead.

That is a scary (pun intended :🙂 ) view of life for many of the people who are here. I have not been here for a long time, but I have seen a lot of women's profiles (age 37+) that did not give me the feeling of emotional and maturity intelligence. The same applies to some of the men's posts (as I do not usually look at men's profiles). However, I found some amazing bios and statements as well that I liked or messaged that were NOT containing: "The key to my heart is food." "Things that I like anime, video games" "Give me tips about traveling." "I like a man to have or be: 40 requirements" (I am exaggerating). Their profiled mentioned things like, aspirations, how they see relationship, self redlection about what type of women they are, etc.
