To the people looking for others’ opinion on Boo
Lately I have been scrolling through a lot of people posting selfies of themselves or asking questions on physical preferences as if they are looking for people’s validation. Here’s a tip: stop ✋worrying about this stuff, be nice, be honest, be open and be yourself and I promise you that you’ll naturally attract others! (And I know how it feels, I have the worst self esteem) You are not ugly; you are not trash; you are beautiful no matter what alright? No but seriously, I am chubby myself and I’ve always been honest about it and guess what? No one has ever made me feel rejected. These people do exist, and you’ll find a partner or else that loves your physical appearance whether you’re ultra skinny, fat or in between. 😌❤️ All tastes are in the nature and beauty is extremely subjective. Fun fact, most ppl that end up falling in love often find each other somewhat unattractive in the beginning. Love changes a lot of things and also perceptions so if the person loves you, then that’s all that matters. That’s all I had to say. Cheers. 🥂

Yes! This exactly. And I always thought it needed to be said but how to not offend when saying it?! You did it right. This was kind, honest and thoughtful. 🌼 Nobody needs to ask to be rated here or to be complimented, no one needs to feel good based on little compliments from random strangers. That will never be a sustainable way to build self esteem. And it becomes a cycle of never enough. You can love yourself and see the good in yourself. Confidence and self love is very attractive all on its own ❤️

I just find it unfortunate that people choose to go that way when Boo has proven to be very different from Tinder and wholesome overall. It’d be unfortunate if it was to turn sour bc most people try to show off or get validated. :(

Thank you. I always felt like the world is rejecting me, been struggling to make friends or even find a mate... I started doubting myself and even felt desperate... I hate desperation because it makes me do things that are not my character... I really hope I do find great people here. Am glad I came across your post

Another person says it and you're absolutely right! 👏🏾🌠 Used to have those issues years ago but taking time to love myself, I could care less about how other see me. Because I already know I'm a 10 out of 10! 🔥 Hope others realize it for themselves too, someday. 😎

There is such a thing as positive commentary and self esteem. I'm not saying that people need constant reinforcement or physical validity, but it is nice when people notice that they've been getting to the gym, etc. Apps such as these are also heavily based on that first picture of you that is shown. It's rather superficial.

I’ll be honest, this is a reason I stopped posting in the social area so much. Pretty much everyone who posts selfies talking about looking ugly or whatever are literally never ugly. People posting questions about “do men/women like X thing?”… yes, some do. Obviously not everyone will like you, but it’s ignorant to think there’s no one who likes something. The constant need for attention and validation is off-putting. I hope, one day, these people will work on their self esteem and confidence.

@Tanya It actually starts making you question yourself because you see it so much. I’ve worked on my self esteem, so seeing it bothers me a bit. I just hope they know they’re good the way they are no matter what others say or don’t say.
