1La pregunta ya viene cargada de respuesta: sugiere que el elogio es un fenómeno casi experimental en el cerebro masculino, y si reacción a este es ilógica y digno de mofa. En realidad, lo que suele ocurrir es bastante más simple: una persona recibe un halago, lo procesa como algo agradable y sigue con su día. No hay “reacciones misteriosas”, igual que tampoco las hay cuando una mujer recibe un cumplido. La diferencia es que nadie suele plantear ese supuesto hecho insolito al revés, porque en ese caso se vería inmediatamente lo forzado de la idea. Si cambiamos de género, la pregunta sonaría así: “¿Qué sucede en el cerebro de una mujer cuando un hombre la elogia?” y probablemente se notaría más claro lo absurdo de tratar algo tan cotidiano como si fuera un fenómeno clínico con una intención claramente polarizada. En el fondo, la cuestión dice más del deseo de convertir interacciones normales en un modo de ridicularizar el cerebro del hombre.

9to answer that i will point to a specific incident on a podcast. streamer asked the guys in chat when was the last time a woman not related to them complimented them on something unrelated to them helping her with something. answers were 'oh yea, x years ago (longest was a decade i think) some girl at this location said she liked my smile (or something similarly small) and it made my week (month in some cases of bigger compliments). most guys don't get genuine compliments, so we tend to treasure them when we do. all the women in that chat were horrified by the way at the reactions by the way. because of how specifically small compliments were remembered up to a decade later.
