Ghosted Again

We were talking and he asked if I lived alone. Not wanting to lie I told him my son lives here. The problem with mentioning you have a kid, is people seem to automatically picture a toddler. mine turned 18 a few months ago. He is close to being out of the house. I am not looking for a father for him. I want someone for me. The guy did not ask how old he is.

Man don't even stress over that clown, kids are a blessing and most people now a days have kids. If they can't accept the whole package then they or he in this matter ain't worth a damn thing but a disappointment.

What’s astounding here is everyone is echo-chambering nothing but support for you and saying how trash of a guy he is, when in reality it’s an extreme middle ground grey area. He probably doesn’t want a woman with kids, which is perfectly fine. That doesn’t make him a bad person. Some men simply do not want to raise someone else’s child. This isn’t unreasonable. However, he didn’t ask how old the kid was, which is what he truly did wrong here. Yet at the same time, YOU didn’t clarify the age of your child, that honestly seems like something you should take the initiative of instead of expecting him to ask the age of the child. Him ghosting is a bit immature, he should have said that he wasn’t interested in you anymore, which would have been more appropriate. That being said, don’t be surprised if men don’t want to be with you when they find out you have a kid. I would only date a single mother if I was a single father, because I feel like that is fair. If a woman has a child then she is immediately no longer a romantic interest, and that is perfectly okay. (edited)

It's shown the maturity in this person. Im pretty sure he won't be worth your time, he probably don't have a good mentality just yet to even be close to your son. And also is not that you were ghosted by him. But it's him losing his opportunity with you. There's a great person out there that are much better than this person. Invest your time in a person that are actually matters :) Good luck!! (edited)
