Could you ever be friends with an Ex?
I've heard conflicting opinions over my time. I'm the type to know I could be friends with someone before we take that next step, it only makes sense to me that you can also take a step back too if things dont work romantically. Would you feel comfortable having a partner that feels this way?

Depends on the ex If the relationship ended on good terms then yes it it ended badly then no . I personally wouldn't be friends with my ex bf 😅 but if it ended well I wouldn't mind it .

If you're in love with your ex, most likely not. It would be difficult and painful to be friends with them - when you have feelings for them still. Secretly, the dumpee will have the expectation on getting back together with the dumper as the dumpee can still have romantic feelings, while the dumper does not. If you both are no longer in love with each other, then yes.

Its a bad idea actually. Don't. I have done that and it didn't end well espescially if you still have feelings for her. She could be looking for new partners just to spite you secretly and in return you might do the same. It won't be a healthy relationship

I'd give it a long time before trying to be friends with an ex, you need time for the wounds to heal... A decade later and I'm friends with one of mine, but we're both aware we'll never get back together

Personally, I cannot. It's either the "there's a fine line between love and hate" or I still have feelings that they are not able to return. Either way, I walk away in order to not deal with either emotion.

I am not friends with any of my exes due to the way things ended and the abusive treatment. There's no reason to keep a toxic person in your life like that. It'll just cause more issues for you. If your ex isn't toxic and you don't have feeling anymore then maybe? Still seems iffy as to why you want your past around you. But everyone has different views on this topic. Luckily my boyfriend and I both aren't friends with any of our exes. We believe that if it's in the past let it stay in the past.

Nope, they are an ex for a reason. I never kept any of them. I just walked away and move on
