How do you move on from a relationship?

Just lost a relationship of almost 3 years and my depression is starting to settle in. Any tips or advice that can help me in this dark time? Thank you ❤️

Hun, I feel you. But this is a good time to put yourself first and be selfish. Time is the best healer. Turn that depression into something productive. Think about your own happiness

Thank you and you're absolutely right I used to set aside my hobbies to focus on her before but now I should focus more on me

I hate to say it, but you probably won't get over it til you find someone else. That's been my experience at least

Time heals all wounds. I know it's said alot, but it's true. Getting past it is just a matter of time and willingness to move on. You'll think about it less and less eventually getting to a point where it maybe crosses your mind once a month, or a couple times a year. And by then who knows where you'll be in life, and what different person may be there with you.

I'm going to be honest. Some days you will dwell, be sad, emotional and depressed. It's part of the process of healing your own heart that someone else carelessly broke. It's not easy but time heals wounds and heartache. Do things/ activities that make you feel happy and love life. Whether it's going out, reading, writing, movies or anything else you wanted to do and couldn't. It's time to make yourself the FIRST priority in your life. 💓 The journey will be difficult but many of us have been through it multiple times. You can DM me if you need to vent and talk. Keep strong

Keep your mind distracted by doing activities you like to enjoy until you find someone to help you erase those memories and make new ones

Healthy distractions and time heals all. You would be fine , take time to grieve and cry out a river but once done, build a bridge of the pieces left and get over it. May you get all the strength needed @Cyril 💓

I have heard that it takes about half the time of the relationship to be over the person. I have also heard that to get over someone is to get under another person. Neither is good nor great advise; however, the end of a relationship means you might need time to grieve. How do you grieve for the end of a time line?

Depression is not fun, avoid at all costs. She made her choice, you make yours. Plenty of physical exercises and other mind focusing activities
