A love which does not give back

Question

Dealing with a one sided love story is beautiful and tragic at the same time.

You know you are capable of such a beautiful feeling which defines your ability to have something for someone which you cannot feel for anybody else in the world.

But it's also tragic at the same time that they do not reciprocate what you feel for them.

People want partners who are contributors in some way. Begging implies there’s a massive need in someway that isn’t offset by the other things the relationship adds. It’s ok to lean on a partner for help with things you aren’t good with, but being completely reliant on them without making much effort on your own will overtax any person’s feelings.
