So let me clarify, its not that I necessarily hate flirting. It's more so that I hate flirting right off the bat. I've never been the kind of person who feels comfortable with having to put on a flirtatious act and I hate doing it when I first meet someone. It feels so forced, like I have to do it because everyone else either does it or says you should because "it works", when I'd rather just get to know someone first and then flirt if mutual interest is obvious. Actually, I think the worst part about it is that if feels like it's expected out of you like that's the only way to exude confidence. No, there's a million other ways, not just that.
