Can we normalise being single?

This won't be a rant, promise, BUT that said... Why is it abnormal to never have had a relationship at 23?!?? Every single time I put myself out there to date people, I get the quizzical eyebrows trying to figure out what is wrong with me, why people wouldn't have taken their chances on me yet. Well, maybe I am fine being single, fine to just wait till I find a person I'm comfortable with and having a great time with, fine to just be 23 and minding my own business... Can we just normalise the single people out there and NOT automatically think of them as some weird ass freaks? We all have issues, we're all messed up in some way. So what's the big deal? Anyone vibing with that? Or am I the only one? 🤔

I feel this. I'm 25, never been in a romantic relationship. People would give me The Look and ask me why I don't try dating, how they're sure I could find someone, etc etc. Like, what's wrong with being single?

Yes!! There's nothing wrong with being single at any age. It doesn't matter what others think if you are doing what is right for you.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. A lot of people I know are serial monogamists/daters and can't stand being single. I fear there might be some underlying things they gotta work through, being so uncomfortable in their own company. 😅
