It's hard to find motivation at this point, I'm kinda stuck in either my head or my bed, and I'm unsure of how to bring myself out of it, my gf basically just dumped me and she was the only one I had that I could talk with freely and feel myself with, and now I feel sad anytime she's on my mind

I went through this exact thing back in 2021. My gf at the time (of 14 years. Should've been wife, glad she wasnt in hindsight) but I was in your shoes. If you have ONE good friend. Bury yourself in hanging with them and building yourself back up. Don't let your mind hang on the good times. That will just hurt you. Try and push yourself to work or learn a new skill, I personally took that time to get life guard certified. Hang in there. Remember your still a great person. They didn't define you

It’s not healthy but I resort to escapism. I still manage to hold a job and take care of myself. But it’s gotten to the point any and all of my free time is spent avoiding reality

Best advice I can offer is find something that's just yours and focus on that. Hobby. Project. For me it was the woods. I would go out away from civilization and just listen to nature. In nature everything knows its place. There's an order to the chaos of nature that I love. Sometimes it's music. It depends on the person. Just don't succumb to despair. You're worth more then just being arm candy to a woman who didn't realize your worth enough to hang on to you. Those people aren't worth the trouble. You're better off being single and focusing all your love and energy on yourself.

Try finding something to do or achieve. Something simple like a garden or building something. Something not too hard but that will take a while, if you enjoy it the motivation to see the end result will keep you going. I've been working on a game for maybe 5years. When I started i was homeless and I'm still not in a great situation but that's the reason why I haven't ended myself or something. Every time when I'd feel down, I'd open my laptop and start making stuff for the game. It kept me busy so I didn't have room for dark thoughts and every now and then I will look back at how it started vs how it's going and for the first time in my life I was proud of something I've done. You could also just start going to the gym like other advised. Either way having a clear goal is the best way to stay motivated imo.
