In this day and age, the endless swipe, swipeātouch and fleeting desire disguised as freedomāhas been celebrated as an art form. And Iām afraid to say it: Iām exhausted. Tired of pretending Iām not. Exhausted by this unending loop of self-betrayal, a weariness that is slowly unravelling my soul, if Iām being honest. It feels like a quiet kind of abandonment. Itās rare to find someone willing to stayāwilling to have a conversation that lasts longer than a week. And love? Oh brother, let me not even mention love. One barely dares to admit to seeking it anymore. *Romantic love* has been traded away like cinemas for game arcadesāno real intimacy, only quick stimulation. Romantic love has become a myth, not because it was never real, but because this world no longer has the willingness to look past its own broken hearts, nor the courage to sustain it. (edited)

I love the words. I don't believe it but it was beautifully put together. Love is not dead. Nor is romance. It is just rarer than we care to accept because of the shift in generations. You have to come to consider that our worlds are as big as we make it. Perhaps the shrinkening of our own circles because of fear has only allowed those you are classifying to own the space to make these words valid. Romance is dead if you believe it is. Love is dead if you believe it can truly die. Yes there are a lot of negative...but don't give up that there somewhere, exists the positive. Keep the faith.
