How to stop global warming

I understand that there are many factors that go into global warming. • CO2 emissions • thermal radiation absorbtion Etc... As a city & country guy I realized something pivotable. Concrete, asphalt, and iron retain heat. While water based items deflect/neutralize it. Cities in which have fewer "radiation exposed" roads and buildings tend to be cooler, and those with more parks and trees suffer less pollution. So to all the city planners, include shade and vegetation in your designs. Your residents will be more comfortable, your city will look better, and it will benefit everyone in the world

The most important thing is where the carbon is sourced. Taking renewable carbon from the forest will make room for new trees to grow, making the warming effect temporary. All trees will eventually burn down, so planting trees densely is only a temporary solution. Pumping up oil ruins the balance until you have gotten rid of the carbon, so it will have a more permanent effect on heating. If gas is leaking, it has to be used or blocked. The dried out wetlands in my country emits more carbon than all cars combined, because dried out carbon sinks release carbon that was collected for thousands of years. But restoring wetlands get little attention, because you can't sell restored wetlands as a hyped up greenwashed product speaking to the customer's aware identity.

This goes hand-in-hand with common sense (at least nowadays) measures to reduce traffic in the city. More buses, trains = less road and more space for trees and people. I've floated between all means of living. Cars are not as needed in the city as 20th century urban planners wanted to believe :I

AI in dating?

I didn't realise how deeply embedded AI was into this app. I'm seeing all these options for "neurons", which appears to be a way for AI to continue/interpret conversations "for" you? I'm not sure how to feel about that. I understand that social anxiety is a thing, and sometimes there's an immense... read more

Fun fact #14

The fairyfly, a type of parasitic wasp, is one of the smallest insects in the world, with some species measuring less than 0.2 millimeters in length. Despite their tiny size, they play a significant role in controlling pest populations.
