Everyone knows that this world can be cruel, so why not be a part of the kindness that makes it a better place?

I could never forget what my professor taught me, he said If the world is 99% cruel, then becoming the remaining 1% kindness makes it a lot better. Strange. I often underestimate my impact on others, but perhaps a simple smile towards a stranger can make someone's life a little more bearable.
