Question

Going celibate for my second year in a row. I find it saddening for I've never would've thought I'd be in this predicament. I just don't have any interactions with anyone anymore. I work where there is barely any women and the ones who are there are taken or pretty old. All I do is work but it's taking its toll on me. I don't think I should keep searching for "the one" but I also don't think it's just guna magically appear. I tried to reserve myself for someone but that someone has given herself away to someone else. I cherished her and loved her deeply but that is all gone now. I wish I could have someone else to fill this void but it's a pretty deep void and idk if ima crawl out of this one. It's pretty dark and lonely for the most part. It never use to be this way for I've always came back and found companionship but the older I grow the harder this seems to be. Idk how long I will be like this but I hope I don't just end my years being a lonely empty old man...

Relatable, 13yrs now, pretty much all work, no play lifestyle. It comes and goes in waves but they do get easier. I know it's easier said than done, but don't focus on it in a manner that puts pressure on yourself. Best I can offer is put some good into the universe, be strong for those around you, and find some peace along the way. ✌️

6+ yrs celibate of my own making.  Got out of a bad relationship, and just want some me time, and before I knew it 6+ yrs have passed.

But in my earlier years.  I was never looking for the "one".  That's usually just some fairy book tale.  If I had held out for the "one" I think I would likely still be a virgin, have no relationship knowledge, not know what I want or would accept and be much poorer for it.

So while it may not be ideal, take a 2nd look at those older ladies, they still need loving to... And you'd be surprised by what knowledge they've picked up over the years.
