Yes hate that. You don't know the day I have been having. The worst one was when I ignored the guy and then I hear him say, "these bitches around here think they white."

My natural resting face looks sad apparently. I got tired of people asking me "what's wrong" in school so after years of consciously grinning my neutral face is now a slight grin

I feel like at some point someone should just take a compliment? I get they could just say "you have a beautiful smile" but everyone takes everything as if they're being hostile or insulting 😆 it's just not the best way to think about small talk imo

One of my biggest pet peeves. "It can't be that bad" My default face is RBF so I normally get it a lot from strangers (Men, never Women). I just put on a slight smile and keep it moving.

I don't say it, but I understand the intention. The fantasy is that they say that to you and you smile in response and automatically forget your problems thus they brightened your day as a result. But I blame movies and TV shows for instilling the lie that people's response to that will always be positive like that. I'm sure it worked in the older generations but in today's it just comes off as insensitive.
