The FDA just approved lab-grown chicken for the first time

Question

If Upside Foods get USDA approval, the company says it can pump out 50,000 pounds of “no-kill” meat products every year for human consumption.

Would you eat meat grown in a lab? 🥩

I stopped eating meat because I disliked and felt guilty about the prospect of having to pray for the animal's death in between every meal.

But if it is no-kill, I don't think I could go back to eating meat anyway because I have skepticism over the content in lab and processed foods. You have to be really careful what you eat nowadays because a lot of the additives in store-bought foods can be dangerous when consumed in considerable amounts and can lead to physical or mental impairments.

Well, i have tried vegetarian food before.. 
it looks like meat, taste (slightly) like meat
Not something that suit to my perefences tbh

I'm actually really excited for it. Particularly if it's around the same price as normal meat and better for the environment. I'd love to read the research papers on it to see how it's produced for myself though

wow...for me personally this is a scary but interesting topic. Is lab-grown meat inevitable to save the planet while at the same time ensuring the avaiability of important nutrients (and less important but demanded flavors)? Is it avoiding the suffering of mass-farmed living chicken? Are there really no long term health risks? Is this the morally irreproachable FDA or the one that has an eye on potential business interests? I think if it is possible, no one will escape it: restaurants, supermarkets, fast food chains and businesses will choose the least expensive alternatives.

Nope. I don't think I'll ever consume meat produced in Petri dishes, heck not even sure if all the food I've eaten is naturally grown as well. But am still wary. Aside to that, I don't think it's economical as well (just my opinion).

I wouldn't trust it. Who know what chemicals they would throw in it to imitate meat. At that point just eat real meat.

I have tried it and it's actually not bad. Tastes like... Meat*. Doesn't taste like chicken, beef, pork, or whatever. Had it in a sausage. Didn't taste like a regular pork sausage. Just simply a non-existent animal sausage? To answer the question, yes I would. Ngl tho I'm not picky
