Should I get this old tattoo redone?

I got this tattoo when I was 16, so about 17 years ago. I got it because I had watched Dragonball/z/gt daily for 12 years by this point. I LOVE it. It's one of 2 tattoos I have. I keep having tattoo artists offer to redo it, but part of me appreciates the faded denim look. However, it's beginning to fade even more, and I sort of miss the vibrancy. Should I get it redone? Thank you, darlin's. 💕

As a beard owner... haha I understand that it grows, then needs to be trimmed. Haha, I know that's a weird comment, but at all stages it's fun but sometimes it get to be a bit much. So.... DragonBall z is world renown and a classic to so many of us! It will always be an epic tattoo, I think you should make it vibrant once again! Maybe watch the show again haha, and then over the next couple decades smile as it starts to fade once again. Enjoy the cycle from vibrant to fader. But most definitely find some friends to watch it with you again!!

Perhaps you could have it touched up, but in a more vintage style that would also preserve that it's one of your first tattoos.

You could always have someone hit it up with very light pigments to keep the faded look while brightening it back up

It depends why you want to redo it. In my opinion tattoo soils the natural beauty of the body. If it is associated with any of your emotions then get it redone

I think if you were to get it done, try for a photo realism. That'll really make it pop! Now I have to ask, ever watch Super? I haven't myself, because of all the retcons they've done and I also like old anime style. I really enjoyed GT.
