DeepSeek (aka China) isn't messing around 👀

So... I'm reading about how DeepSeek is a solid alternative to chatGPT and other mainstream generative AI models, but I'm more than a bit iffy about it because of "privacy" and "data collection" concerns. Plus, it's happening rather conveniently right after TikTok was almost completely wiped out of the US, which would've meant that China was at risk of losing access to ridiculous amounts of data from US users. Lo and behold, DeepSeek arrives. Am I the only one who feels that DeepSeek's release is China's latest "brilliant move" to safeguard their control? #ai #deepseek #chatgpt #controversial
