It can change the world or not so much. In many ways its totally incompetent and it's very easy to manipulate. It's a language model that does it's job alright. There's no guarantee it will get better as it will hit a roadblock that needs to be broken by someone or some group. Many things are being claimed as being made or supported by AI while they're not or not in any significant way. It's best use/benefit right now is for tech companies to attract investors. The biggest risk is that people who are in the process of learning something won't learn effectively by using AI, resulting in dependant and less Intelligent and knowledgeable people (because AI tends to serve the answer, wrong or not, on a platter so you don't get to go through the regular longer learning process which solidifies the knowledge in your brain).
