I don't usually make the "first move". Aka, reply when I accept their request. I'm usually not really good at starting conversations. It's basically, due to socializing. Online is hard but in person is harder. Would you reply or make the first move to say "hi"?

It's the strangest thing for me that when someone accepted my request or likes me back but they don't say hi. Makes me feel like do you really wanna talk to me or what? I'm not good at starting conversations either, but whenever I accept requests or likes someone back, I make sure to even just say "hi, how's it going" to let them know I'm interested in conversation with them.
