I say "men" because, so far, it's only been men in my comments trying to argue with me or belittle me about my own orientation. Before commenting, please take five minutes to research something beyond a Google or tiktok search for "gotcha" arguments. Asexuality is a sexual orientation. It means experiencing little or no sexual attraction to others. It is not a choice, a hormone imbalance, erectile dysfunction, or a medical condition. So NO, a man with ED is not automatically asexual. Erectile dysfunction is a physical condition. Asexuality is about attraction. Those are two completely different things. And yes... asexual people can get married, fall in love, have children, and even have sex. "Wait... you can still have sex?" Yes. Asexuality doesn't dictate what someone is physically capable of doing. It describes how they experience sexual attraction. Every asexual person is different, and their comfort level with sex varies. It's similar to saying, "A gay man can't have children." Of course he can. His sexual orientation doesn't determine whether he's biologically capable of having kids. The same applies to asexual people. Whether someone chooses to have sex or children is a personal decision not something their orientation automatically decides. I'm always happy to answer respectful questions. But if you're going to challenge someone's identity and make an ass of yourself at least take a moment to understand what you're talking about first.💜
