Connection

I look at the sky, and saw how the moon and stars dances to the beating of my own heart. And then, I remember... Someone said to me. I am like the sun, and he is like the moon. I give him the glow when darkness comes. I become the center of his world, and when I am gone—he’ll probably die. It was a word any hopeless romantic would love to hear. But at some point along the way—we lose touch. And I am wondering if he still remembers me each time the sun rises, and the moon glows. I keep looking at the moon, and thought to myself… Maybe he was right. We were a lot like the sun and the moon, always connected — — but forever apart.
