I used to think something was wrong with me. I'd over-analyze every text, every look, every small change in tone. A delayed reply could send me spiraling, and one cold moment could feel louder than ten warm ones. I’d replay conversations in my head, not to create drama, but to decode hidden meanings. Psychology says this is rejection sensitivity. It's not about being needy or dramatic; it's a deep-rooted fear of being pushed away. It's how my brain is wired—scanning for subtle signs something's wrong, even when everything is fine. Deep down, all I want is to feel safe. Not perfectly loved or overloved, but simply secure in my connections. It's a daily effort, but I'm learning to find comfort in a small act of emotional safety, because sometimes, that’s all it takes to quiet the storm. If you feel this way too, you're not alone.
