Russia likes to boast that its military has significantly increased the last several years but the numbers show that the only thing that has significantly increased is the poverty level.

Well, things like the Hoover Dam were built by the Corps of Engineers so other applications like such are relevant in building our nation as well as the fact that statehood is based upon military might and if there is nothing to back it up then things fall apart.

@Sean There's also the application of veteranship where those who are trained by the military often move on to fill similar roles in the civilian sector. This insures a trained and competent infrastructure which is self supported for these veterans also already have the added benefit of the support given by the veteran's association and government. So their success ratios are high.

@Sholto Not sure if i heard correctly but i heard that veterans used to get treated pretty poorly by the government. ^^

@Sean Well, that's part of the problem, even the current government personnel have lost sight of objective. They tell you they are going to do everything they can to help when you get out but as soon as you ask for any benefits you have already earned you end up fighting for recognition. It is very counterproductive and bigotful.

@Sean Yeah no doubt. It's kind of like veterans were already on that court and didn't drop the ball and yet now when the VA have the ball it gets dropped at the veteran's expense.
