Posted in philosophy yesterday, but I wrote this, and this is writing community. Should I make this story more in depth or keep it how it is?

There once was a mortal who had a dream that they met the creator of creation. In this dream they were warned, if they could not achieve what they wanted alone, then untold amounts of lives would die. The mortal was peaceful and doubted the words they were told as nothing more than a dream. They went on to live a life of adventure, where they met people, made friends and eventually a family. As the mortal continued to age in years and lived a peaceful life, people around them would disappear or in some cases die. The mortal thought nothing of it as they had not taken part in the person's death. They mourned and wept with the others each time it would happen. The day arrived when the mortal was in the last moments of being alive, for age and time was taking its toll. As they laid dying, surrounded by the family and friends they had made a long the way, they saw the figure from the dream a long time ago. As the mortal passed on and died, they heard the words being told back to them that they had ignored back then. If they could not live life alone, then untold amounts of people would die. They realized what the figure had meant, that for each life they had needed to exist in their time of life, was now destined to live and die, and every life that they needed to exist would be destined to the fate of death. No matter the choices made, each life added, would eventually be taken away. As the mortals children had children of their own and their children had children of their own. The first mortal watched as every event unfolded and the bodies stacked upon each other in death. Being dead the first mortal could do nothing, but watch as time marched on and the continuation of life and death played out. For every addition in creation, is a subtraction. They asked the creator after thousands of years, unable to shed a tear when the people they started to care about die, why? The answer they got was one they never forgot.
