Everyone talks about the right person, and I, too, want to meet the right person. But who truly is the right person? Often, someone comes into your life and everything feels new. The world seems brighter, things fall perfectly into place, and you believe your plans are finally aligning. That person is loving, jovial, attentive, and caring. In that moment, you are convinced, this is the right person. Then, one day, something changes. The warmth fades, the connection shifts, and eventually, the person who once felt so right becomes a stranger. The relationship ends, and suddenly the question arises: Was this the wrong person all along? So how do we truly know the right person?

1Whoever facilitates you being the "right you". I.e., whoever allows you to feel most at home as/in yourself is likely the right person. But, that can vary moment to moment. We are all dynamic. We are rivers that change shape as time goes on. To insist someone has to be right for forever might prevent us from seeing who is right for us right now. We have to develop and come into ourselves. We often meet people who help us and challenge us to do that. Its difficult to find someone who changes with us in the ways and in the time that works for our own development. But, when the majority of that work is done, when you are the person who is ready for your "one", it is likely that you will cross paths. - in my opinion anyway. (edited)

5Fine, I guess I can tell you this one. A few years ago, the University of Harvard designed a questionnaire which allows people to find their "the one". You just have to get the guy - or girl - take them out for a date, answer all the questions together, and at the end you'll know if you're right for each other, or not. I tested this in person myself, and it always revealed the person just wasn't right for me.
