Is Wattpad still agoodplace to publish a book? Ifnot, what are the other alternatives? I'm also hoping to monetize my works, if ever.

Are youwriting for a fandom or is itanoriginalwork? Wattpad is known for fandoms, because of their comment-by-line function and ability to build a fanbase for your work. (I have read good original works on there, too.) From experience, telling peopleyou have writing published on Wattpad usually comes with the fandom connotation. If you're just looking to get your work out and monetized - granted, it's not going to be a large amount - then publishing via Amazon and then signingup for their Kindle Direct programwill do the job. Just make sure you get it edited as best you can first.

I'm publishing for original work. Wattpad was the first thing that came into my mind because most of the works there are original, based on my 2013-2016 experience, and many authors in my country have published works there. I'm planning on publishing, but it's not in English. I'm using my nativelanguage for my book. Is Amazon still good for that? By the way, thank you for thisinsight.

@Ky Amazon has a very large market, so my best guess is it would have a market containing the language you plan to publish in - whether or not it is a good decision to publish there depends on the audience you wish to reach. I'm not too familiar with publishing in other languages, but it might help for you to connect with a locallibrary and find out where they get their books, what apps they recommend to their readers for ebooks (as I assume that's the format you wish to publish in), etc. Hope that helps!
I wouldn't trust it. My password got leaked on there and because I was an idiot and lazy, most of my passwords were the same and had gotten hacked into my steamaccount. It was terrifying.
