"He opened his eyes in a shallow slightly burned crater that was full of ash. Setting sun painted forest-like surroundings in reds and pinks, unknown life rustled all around, but something felt wrong. Everything felt both familiar and alien at the same time, that made him feel deeply uneasy: he hadn't seen any of these plants or heard any of these creatures before. But it wasn't even the main problem. Once he looked at his hands, he was overcome with a primal horror. Bare bones, almost shiny white, were folded into skeletal limbs, moving by mysterious force, and a dim flame the color of forest shadow was burning right in the center of his chest. No doubt, he became a damn skeleton... How could he even see? For now, newborn skeleton just accepted that it's some magic stuff, first priority was for sure the survival. Besides it was unclear just how dangerous that place was to explore, he also couldn't stay in open space for a long. So that mysteriously moving pile of bones chose direction that looked safer and cautiously headed there. The sun has finally settled and pale moonlight barely made it's way through the treetops, so the skeleton could only see fleeting silhouettes that was moving almost elusive in his sight from time to time. It felt like some kind of vultures and scared him as hell. In any case, he had no choice but to move forward. Something's changed. A mere second ago they were there, but absolutely nothing then. Undead couldn't understand, should he worry or rejoice. It was encouragingly great that they stopped chasing him, but why did they..? Anyway, skeleton just continued moving, and it was getting lighter with every step. The trees started being separated with small glades, some of them was strongly damaged, but everything felt too empty, except that one little rabbit... A poor creature was hiding in nearest bushes when the skeleton arrived. It's red eyes looked scared, and snow white fur stood out too much in this area. How did it even survive to that point? Some movement distracted his attention. It was a moving tree root, but it felt more like agonizing - that tree was almost destroyed, could it be alive? And every tree he saw might have been like this too... Some terrific feeling spread over his bony body, like goosebumps, but why? "Bend down" - pure reflex acted rapidly before he even realized, and something almost like exploded above his head. Rabbit's frail-looking paws just busted the tree leftovers like it's a paper figure. It's mouth started opening like a fold mechanism, much bigger than the creature itself. Undead didn't want to become really dead, so he didn't wait for that horrid process to finish and hit the road out of that place."
