I'm glad could end 2024 by watching this film. This is an American-Japanese animated movie based on J.R.R. Tolkien's works and set in the same series with Peter Jackson's trilogy. I watched it twice in theaters - once with English dub and once with Japanese dub, which I think was the right choice. The English dub creates a nostalgic connection to the movie trilogy, featuring some actors to dub animations. The Japanese dub delivers powerful emotional performances, showcasing the expertise of Japanese voice actors, and Sound Director’s contribution is indispensable I noticed the importance of theater equipment - my second viewing had better color balance, brightness, and surround sound, revealing more animation details and enhancing the experience. Some people may not be satisfied with the plot, I think it was a stable adaptation without violating the original work, with outstanding animation and music. If you're a Middle-earth fan and it's showing in your area, I recommend supporting it with a viewing.
